ICC is the first user of OpenWay's WAY4 software solutions in Jordan. WAY4 enables ICC to implement EMV standards, becoming the first company in Jordan to do so for both issuing and acquiring businesses. This partnership is a key factor in ensuring ICC’s objective of being recognized as a successful player in the payment and financial services market.
WAY4 is an efficient, state-of-the-art, versatile payment processing platform that manages credit, debit and prepaid cards, ATM Point of Sale systems, as well as administers corporate products. The platform is a customer, product, client, account-based system that is EMV and PCI compliant. Utilized by over 90 banks and other organizations in the Middle East, Europe, North America and Asia, WAY4 is able to handle an estimated 3,000 transactions each second.
“We are extremely pleased with our alliance with OpenWay,” stated ICC’s CEO Khalil Alami. “We selected OpenWay because of their considerable experience with processors, as well as WAY4’s impeccable worldwide reputation. This software offers our customers a greater, more innovative range of services, meeting the high standards for which we continuously strive for at ICC. The strong relationship between ICC and OpenWay is integral to the success and continued growth of our existing business, and our upcoming regional expansion.”Wim Pardon, Managing Director of OpenWay, Europe and Middle East commented, "We are very excited to have penetrated the new booming Jordanian market for OpenWay. We are also very glad to have been selected by ICC given their sophisticated business methodologies and advanced products and service modules. We look forward to being innovators in Jordan together with ICC."
By implementing the WAY4 software, ICC’s technology will enable it to develop customer-centric and flexible products with extraordinarily high security. It will also provide ICC with a greater opportunity to partner with more banks in Jordan by handling their credit and debit card business through issuing and processing. By adopting WAY4, ICC ensures a vast increase in speed and efficiency in delivering customer requirements, and will offer high-speed processing, advanced management tools, and comprehensive card management facilities.
Encompassing EMV standards will result in greater credibility for ICC. ICC already enjoys a stellar reputation in the financial services industry, and the company’s recent partnership with OpenWay only serves to strengthen the ICC name and good standing in the payment and card business.
"As a result of this strategic collaboration between ICC and OpenWay, MasterCard cardholders will certainly enjoy customized and secure payment solutions" said Basel Eltell, vice president and regional manager, Levant, MasterCard Worldwide. "Such services are in great demand by our cardholders in Jordan. This association demonstrates the commitment of MasterCard to develop local solutions."
ICC’s technology will enable it to aggressively move ahead of its competition with the now completed expansion and installment of its technology – the EMV Personalization and Data Center, which the company has installed through Infotec systems Jordan, a leading card-based solutions provider which is primarily focused on the banking and the secure ID card issuing markets.
